Set out below is a brief outline of how the process of engaging our services often works.  Of course every garden is different and every client an individual so the process can be adapted to reflect this.

Consultation and Brief

Listen, Look, Interprete

An initial visit to observe the garden and meet the client.  An opportunity to understand the client’s inspirations and aspirations. A written Brief is then produced so that we are sure we have understood the client’s requirements

Site Survey and Analysis

Prepare, Investigate, Scrutinise

Once the Brief is accepted a detailed topographical survey of the site is then commissioned and a photographic survey plus an indepth analysis of existing features is complet

Design Concept

Research, Interprete, Create

The Design Concept for your garden is presented as a bound A3 document.  It can include a presentation plans, sketches, mood boards, indicative material choices and 3D visualisations

Detailed Design

Develop, Expand, Refine

The Detailed Design involves expanding on the Design Concept.  It involves material choices and specifications, irrigation and lighting and preparing the drawings for the contractors.

Planting Design

Conceive, Cultivate, Nurture

The Planting Design often falls within the Detailed Design stage but many clients wish to be closely involved with the development of the planting palette so it can be considered separately if this is desired.

Instruct, Dig, Build

The Tender Package will be sent to up to three contractors or can be passed to your own builders.  Once the preferred contractor is identified a contract is drawn up between the client and the contractor

Project Inspection

Watch, Reassure, Adapt

To maintain the smooth running of the project, a project inspection service is often required.  It can be as little as three or four set visits throughout the build, or weekly meetings on complex builds.

Hand Over

Approve, Relax, Enjoy

The garden is complete and handed over to the client to enjoy.
